As the festive season of Christmas draws near, let's ditch the usual Christmas decor and bring a burst of Indian vibrancy into our homes. Here's a guide to decorating your home with the rich beauty of Indian plants and flowers:

1. Marigold

Marigolds symbolize auspiciousness and are immensely used in celebrations. Create vibrant orange and yellow marigold garlands to craft a stunning and fragrant backdrop for your Christmas tree. You can also hang them across doorways for a warm and inviting welcome.

Tip: Combine marigolds with fairy lights for a magical and festive glow.

2. Jasmine

Known for its sweet fragrance, jasmine can add an elegant touch to your Christmas table. Arrange Jasmine flower bouquets in small vases or bowls to elevate the look.

Tip: Sprinkle Jasmine flowers on your table mat as you spread your Christmas buffet. Enjoy your dinner amidst the sweet fragrance and sight of white Jasmines.

3. Cinnamon

Though not a plant, cinnamon sticks are a kitchen essential in India. Bundle them together with twine to create aromatic mini wreaths. Hang these around your home for a touch of warmth and a subtle spicy fragrance.

4. Tulsi

6. Rose:

Rose is one of the most romantic flowers that adds bright hues to any space. Fashion a wreath that can hung in front of the door, with roses. One can also sprinkle Rose petals over any space to add a pop of red colour against any plain white background.

Tip: Gift a rose to the guests that arrive at your home. They will surely love the gesture.
